I am pleased to see your commentary here.
I believe that I am free to pass an aside at this point.

I think that I'd have to agree that Words was the appropriate category, but we could use the 'Old Holes In The Handkerchief Trick', so it then fits Cryptography.

This was awkwardly received during pre-publish discussion (as happens at times).

I am pleased that it came to light, but ....  like your comments are reflecting  .... I would have seen this requiring many attempts accompanied by some subtle hints.
