Hahaha, desheeper is officially my new favorite word!

I had a similar idea at first, the only thing I thought of was that they could all end in -er (not a very unique property, though):

Santa's friend: deer, reindeer, Donner
Deceased inside: ?...cadaver?
In a deck: Joker
Potato preparer: peeler
Look through: peer
Hair remover: shaver, tweezer
Wool remover: shearer?

I like your answer better, although as much as I love it, I'm not sure desheeper is what they were looking for...and reeks seems like a stretch.  But so far I can't come up with anything else.
