The sum of two positive numbers is 1068 and their Highest Common Factor is 89. How many pairs of such numbers are there?

89*a+89*b=89*12

a and b are relatively prime implies one = 5*89 and one = 7*89

true, but how about

 one = 1*89 and one =11*89  ?

 

there are two valid distinct pairs
