(1) If f(x)= ax39x2+bx+12 has x+1 and 2x3 as factors, then find the values of a and b (without using the actual process of Division of Polynomials).

(2) If (x24x+3) is a factor of cx4+dx313x214x+24, then find the values of c and d (without using the actual process of Division of Polynomials).

x^2-4x+3 is easily factored by inspection as (x-1)(x-3).  The problem should have required no quadratic formula also!
