(1) If f(x)= ax3–9x2+bx+12 has x+1 and 2x–3 as factors, then find the values of a and b (without using the actual process of Division of Polynomials).

(2) If (x2–4x+3) is a factor of cx4+dx3–13x2–14x+24, then find the values of c and d (without using the actual process of Division of Polynomials).

Can we put values as x=1/2 and the like in the expressions and eqaute the quad expression to 0?Surely, it wouldn't be violating the rule.
