When you partake of me in dawning light.
Yet I become a drink inside your glass,
After dinner time at night."

Note: One word fits both clues

Some Thoughts I come from a land . . . | Comment 12 of 23 |

I am not sure how it is down under, but here in the U.S. south many of people enjoy a cup of coffee after dinner.

So, my first thoughts were coffee cake/coffee.

I definately see how that doesn't seem right.  I added carefully and found that 'coffee cake' is not one, but two words!  Hmmm. . .

;)
