It's in the Cards (Posted on 2006-04-06) Difficulty: 2 of 5
Some playing cards are being divided into two piles according to a certain rule.

Pile A has

A A♣ 7 9♠ 3♣
while Pile B has
A 8 4♠ K♣ 10

In which pile should the Q be placed according to that rule?

Good answer D.M. However, two styles of "seven of diamonds" (and I checked many various packs) exist - one having the central diamond offset towards one end (thus Pile A) and the other with it absolutely centred (Pile B)
I actually altered the original problem to exclude the Diamond Seven to avoid confusion.
