At the outset, we observe that the terms of the sequence are arranged in decreasing order of magnitude. Also, each of the numbers inclusive of the given terms contain precisely nine letters when spelled out as a word.
The ninth such word after "twenty one" having this property is "seventeen", which represents the number "17".
Consequently, the required next number of the given sequence is 17.
