Determine the remainder when 61²⁰⁰⁶ is divided by 2006.

Can you do this in a short time using pen and paper, and eventually a hand calculator, but no computer programs?

As I don't know of many short-cuts with working with large numbers, I will settle with using a calculator....

MOD(61²⁰⁰⁶) = 145

(I did not actually use a hand calculator. I used the BigNumber Calculator Applet located at http://www.theworld.com/~reinhold/BigNumCalc.html )
