A case of misguided sheep. (Posted on 2006-06-23) Difficulty: 3 of 5
I am a plateau, holding forty-two sheep.

The sheep are held in six sets of seven. The first, third, fourth, fifth and seventh sheep are black. The remaining two are white.

Someone using me to my full potential can even cause people to cry.

What am I?

This riddle should strike a chord with people with similar interests as me. I write this with plenty of strings attached.

Again we will find a difficulty with standards.

I remember a guitar that my children used having a set of 'ivory' circular inlays to assist with chords.  One reference suggests that the commonly accepted guitar has 24 frets (ridges) against which strings may be shortened for tonal effects.
