Hmm, I am terrible at crypto's and this puzzle is no exception.
I offer my insight and wonder if it is of any value. This output
looks a lot like what you get when you try to open an excel (or
basically any software specific) file using "textpad" (Textpad is a
(probably proprietary) notepad application that gets around some of the
file type limitations of notepad, however, when a file with a unique
data structure is oprned with it, it will show the hex representation
of the data in a format very similar to that from the problem).
The data shown in this case however is usually just the hex characters,
0-9 and a-f, so maybe this is a replacement and conversion?
