Sorry that the problem statement wasn't 100% specific. My fault. But on the other hand, if a puzzle leaves some room for interpretation, you sometimes get quite unexpected answers, such as your's and Steve's. Which is interesting. Nothing wrong wrong with that and nothing wrong with your solution...
