Of course there need not be a single 'correct' solution to these.  Most of what you submitted were the intended responses.
Exceptions:

[1] Sitting Bear, “Bear Mountain”, mountain tracks
'Bear' is a bit more obscure than what I'm going for in both terms.  'mountain' has too many letters. 

[2] water sport, sport coat, coatroom
Different than mine but I think it fits as well.

[3] trap play, playhouse, house trap
I searched but don't know what 'house trap' is.

[8] “summer cold”, cold sweat, “Sweat Hog”, hog wild
A bit more obscure than mine but it fits well.

Great job overall.  I was worried these would be too hard, especially the longer ones.
