A piece of rope is lying on the table. How would you tie a knot in it by picking up its two ends and not letting go of them?

pick up both ends with your left hand, so the rope is folded double, grap the half-way point with your right hand. You never let go of the two ends in the left hand, and use the right hand to tie this doubled-up short length of rope into a knot. You can let go of the mid point in the right hand as often as necessary while tieing the knot.
