An Analogy... | Comment 77 of 110 |

Can God pick an integer such that He cannot pick an integer greater than it?

Of course not.  But that doesn't show a limitation on God's power.  Rather, it is an indication of the infinite-ness of the set of integers.

So I would argue that the inability for God to create a stone He cannot carry is an indication of the infinite-ness of some other set, not an indication of His finiteness.

To put it more concretely, suppose it takes f(x) units of power to create a stone that requires x units of power to carry.  The inability of an omnipotent God to create a stone he cannot carry corresponds to f being unbounded.
