Old English Riddle (Posted on 2006-11-30) Difficulty: 2 of 5
In marble walls as white as milk,
Lined with a skin as soft as silk,
Within a fountain crystal clear,
A golden apple doth appear.
No doors there are to this stronghold,
Yet thieves break in and steal the gold.

Is it a leather bound book?

the "white" is the pages, "lined with skin" being the leather cover, the fountain and golden apple representing knowledge
