The Game (Posted on 2006-12-14) Difficulty: 2 of 5
There is a game which is played by those unlucky enough to be duped into it called "The Game". There are 3 simple rules to The Game:

1. Knowledge of The Game is the only thing required to play it (whoops, shouldn't have read this!!).
2. If you think about The Game, you lose.
3. If you lose The Game, you must announce it to anyone else who also plays.

Can you ever win The Game?

The criteria for losing is clear, but not for winning.

Losing is two-step:

1) Think about game.

2) Tell one player that you lost (thus making that player lose too).

What happens when the last player hears from the second-last player the the second last player lost. The last player HAS to tell some player that he lost. But since nobody else is playing, the last player cannot tell anyone. So the game ends before the last player completes the process of losing. So he becomes winner(?)
