Odd-Even Logidoku (Posted on 2007-01-05) Difficulty: 3 of 5
The numbers 1 to 9 are to appear once in every row, column, long diagonal, 3x3 grid and irregular shape. Light cells are odd; darker cells are even. From the starters given, can you finish the puzzle?

I'm really enjoying these sudoku variations, Josie, especially since I've grown pretty tired of the regular kind. These have a nice custom-made and unique touch to them. The odd-even variant was interesting; it made it essentially two completely independent puzzles on the same grid. I solved all the evens first, then restarted the puzzle and solved all the odds (the latter was perhaps a bit harder).
