Letter Swap (Posted on 2007-01-19) Difficulty: 2 of 5
The 26 letters of the alphabet were divided into two piles according to a simple rule. Two letters were then swapped leaving the piles as follows.

Pile 1: a,c,e,g,j,o,q,s,u,v,w,y,z
Pile 2: b,d,f,h,i,k,l,m,n,p,r,t,x

Which two letters should be swapped to return each pile to its original composition?

Solution With a little help from Small Hint (Possible Spoiler) | Comment 6 of 9 |

The Letters e & x should be swapped

When written in the UPPER CASE, the Pile 2 letters have at least 1 straight line … Hence the 'X' has to be swapped with 'E'

A contrary argument to this would be that 'X' could also be swapped with 'J' or 'U' ... but I am disregarding them as they are made up of just 1 CURVED continuous line ... and hence do not hold true on the condition of at least 1 STRAIGHT line

I Could be WRONG though !!!
