One can find other than geographic features for the reverse order of the letters SAL and CLE. Examples are elcaja (an arabian tree) and lassie (a unmarried, young woman or girl).

Another observation is that each can form a word by adding a single vowel: CLuE, SeAL, LiED, PeA, VeAL, WaS, CoY, HaS and WEaR.

I suspect that there is something that will be recognized as more common than what Charlie or I have observed.
