The required value of the definite integral is 2.5

EXPLANATION:

I = Integral(1 + 5g(y))-1 dy, y= 0 to 5
= Integral(1 + 5g(5-y))-1 dy, y= 0 to 5
= Integral(1 + 5-g(y))-1 dy, y= 0 to 5
= Integral(5g(y))/(1 + 5g(y)) dy, y= 0 to 5
= I
or, 2I = = Integral dy, y= 0 to 5
or, 2I= 5, giving:
I = 5/2 = 2.5

Thus, the required value of the definite integral is 2.5.
