The solution is 12.
The Sequence is like x,4x,4x+4,(4x+4)/4,((4x+4)/4)-4,4(((4x+4)/4)-4)...

so 5
5*4=20
20+4=24
24/4=6
6-4=2
2*4=8
8+4=12 is the Solution.
