Two Cube Folding Puzzles (Posted on 2007-12-18)
How can a 2x4 rectangle be cut (and still remain in one piece) and be able to be folded into a 1x1x1 cube?

Submitted by Brian Smith No Rating Solution: (Hide) If the rectangle and square are cut along the lines indicated below then the number in each subsquare indicates which face of a standard die that subsquare will be folded onto. ```+--+--+--+--+ | 1 2 6 5| +--+--+--+ + | 1 4 6 3| +--+--+--+--+ +--+--+--+ | 6 4 4| + +--+ + | 6| 1 2| + +--+--+ | 5 5 3| +--+--+--+ ``` More solutions can be found in the comments, including this one by Gamer where no cuts need to be made.
