Ed, I suppose to a point I was a little remiss in being precise with button presses but I had two unconscious thoughts in mind:
1. those type of "buttons" are quite common across webpages
and
2. I have used this technique in a few earlier problems and I guess I assumed solvers would have been acuainted with it.

As to a word list, Sing4The Day indicated that there is a site where you can generate anagrams:  wordsmith.org.  There is a table on one of the pages into which you can enter the 16 letters, the computer that you want max. and min. word lengths of 4 letters and it will build a list.  In this case it reports that there are something like 32,000+ anagrams but they won't all be proper words.
