Each of x, y and z is a rational number such that: x + y * ³√2 + z * ³√4 = 0.

Prove that x=y=z=0 is the only possible solution to the above equation.

Thanks for your advice, but that button is just what I was using. Each time it gives me the same difficulties as Charlie has now demonstrated and it means that I have to use the editing facility and use words where symbols would have been better.
Is it something about my system?
