If any one fat cat can consume any n fat rats in n3 + 2 minutes, then it would take three minutes for one fat cat to consume one rat. Using the same equation, it would take ten minutes for one fat cat to consume two fat rats.

If any one fat cat can consume any n fat rats in n7 + 2n minutes, then, again, it would take three minutes for one fat cat to consume one rat. Using this equation, it would take two hours and twelve minutes for one fat cat to consume two fat rats.

Given only one sampling of the quantity and time needed for consumption, there are many possible different equations that can be provided for how long it would take n fat cats to consume 2n fat rats.

Yet, if each fat rat can be eaten by any one fat cat at a constant rate of three minutes, then it would take six minutes for thirty-three fat cats to eat sixty-six fat rats.
