All at Sea (Posted on 2009-12-09) Difficulty: 3 of 5
The words in the table all have some marine association.

Each may be slid up or down within the grid at will.

Your task is to create a row of marine coherent text, however is your discovery truly a marine object?

Two lines of coherent print are available.

With the word "HELM" positioned from the middle row down adjusted words form "HARBOUR MASTER", a person but not an object.

With the word "HELM" beginning in the top left corner adjusted words, riding off the "M", form "MERMAIDS PURSE", an object and not a person.

"Harbour" tends to readily present itself, leads to the building of "Master" and so makes for a good distraction from the intended solution which is more obscure in the letter arrangement, and maybe as an item of general knowledge.

As a philosophical argument I wonder how Charlie's proposal would be accepted. He gives a sentence "I saw the harbourmaster". We have a structure "Subject Verb Object". The problem asks for a 'marine object'. 'Harbourmaster' certain deserves a marine classification, and in such a usage given by Charlie it is ... a marine object.
