This year (by June 2010) IT already happened thrice and will occur one more time, on October 1st.

Next time SAME THING will occur on two different dates in 2011 and on 6 different dates in 2012.

In 2013 - only during one day and then in the following years IT will present itself at least once a year till 2036.

In 2037 - not even once.

What is IT (a.k.a. SAME THING )?

In what year in this century f(YEAR) is maximal?

IT is a day where product of the numeric value of the month and day equals that of the two-digit year.

At the end of the year 2010, IT will have occurred on January 10, February 5, May 2 and October 1.
[01*10 = 02*05 = 05*02 = 10*01 = 10]

At then end of the year 2020, IT will have occurred 5 times:
January 20, February 10, April 5, May 4, and October 2.
[01*20 = 02*10 = 04*05 = 05*04 = 10*02 = 20]

The maximal year of the century for ITs to occur or have occurred is 2024. IT will have occured 7 times: January 24, February 12, March 8, April 6, June 4, August 3 and December 2.
[01*24 = 02*12 = 03*08 = 04*06 = 06*04 = 08*03 = 12*02 = 24]
