5th powers (Posted on 2012-08-30) Difficulty: 3 of 5
There are only three numbers that can be written as the sum of fourth powers of their digits: 1634, 8208 ,9474 (the trivial case of number 1 excluded).
The sum of these numbers is 1634 + 8208 + 9474 = 19316.

Find the sum of all the numbers that can be written as the sum of fifth powers of their digits.

Quickest method: Sloane A052464 ={0, 1, 4150, 4151, 54748, 92727, 93084, 194979}.

Wolfram gives a sum of 443840; if 0,1 are excluded the sum is 443839.

The problem is project Euler 30; there are a number of very condensed programs for producing the solution.
