shows the exact same IPA-spelled pronunciation as

http://www.forvo.com/word/chased/#en

I myself would find it exceedingly difficult to deliver the last consonant voiced while leaving the penultimate phoneme unvoiced. That is, if I try to make the D in chased sound like a D instead of a T, the S would come out sounding like a Z.

To me they sound identical when spoken normally.

There are other sites also showing the same IPA-spelled pronunciation--i.e., any site I could find on the first results page of a Google search for chased pronunciation, and then following on the given page with a search there for chaste.
