Suppose you flip a coin three times.

What is the probability of getting exactly one heads?

Solution i was wrong, I stand corrected (by myself) | Comment 22 of 23 |

i forgot to take in the plain fact that each coin is different from the other's, and is therefore a different anomaly.

so therefore the probability of getting 1 head and 2 tails is

3/8 or 37.5%

because there are a total of 8 possibille coin flip combinations,

they are as follows:

HHH,  HHT,  HTH,  HTT,  THH,  THT,  TTH&  TTT.

only 3 of these are the ones we're looking for

HTT,  TTH&  THT.

so the answer is

3/8 or 37.5%
