Crime Commitment Conclusion II (Posted on 2013-09-12) Difficulty: 3 of 5
A crime has been committed and there are five suspects. Precisely one of the suspects is a knight and the remaining four are liars.
  1. Arthur said Dave did it, Dave said Bill did it, Bill said Cal did it.
  2. Cal said that he didn't do it and Eddie confessed that he did it.
  3. It is known that Arthur did not do it.
If precisely one of the suspects did it, who committed the crime?

Bill and Call contradict each other, so one of them is the knight.

Therefore, Arthur and Dave and Eddie are all liars.

Therefore, Dave, Bill and Eddie didn't do it.

Given that Arthur didn't do it, that means that Cal did it.

Only solution, final answer.
