You & you (Posted on 2013-05-30) Difficulty: 3 of 5

Vacuum is not the only English word containing a double u (i.e. uu).
There exists another non-related term with the said feature, used both in mathematics and in music.

Find it and others (there are several words, mostly derived from Latin).

Charlie: As usual, you have come up with the most comprehensive solution.

However, one small quibble: since these words, in general, are of Latin origin, the plurals end in -a (not -s).

For example, the plural of "continuum" is "continua".

So, that reduces your excellent list by a few.

It's these little snippets that make life worthwhile ....
