Six Letter Strikeout (Posted on 2013-12-10) Difficulty: 1 of 5

Larry's proposed solution gave me the trick.  (Thanks, Larry)

But BANANAS doesn't work because 7 letters are crossed out (including one of the two S's).

And BANANA doesn't work, also because 7 letters are crossed out.

So my solution is BETTER, formed by crossing out every instance of S, A, I, N, X and L.

Other solutions might be possible.
