Hobsons choice(?) (Posted on 2013-10-10) Difficulty: 3 of 5
Multiplying cab*car one gets "fur, ciea & bbec"
as partial results;

Multiplying car*cab we get "car, cotu & bbeu" .

Although the final result is the same, it is you who will decide what is better.

Some Thoughts re(4): I can't believe it's not better! ONE IS | Comment 5 of 9 |
(In reply to re(3): I can't believe it's not better! ONE IS by Ady TZIDON)

I'll note that CAR*CAB has two possible solutions, one of which is rather inelegant, while the other is most certainly better. CAB*CAR has only one possible solution (in which I has the same value as O does in CAR*CAB -- this is what I meant when I said it seemed that two letters had the same value). So I think CAB*CAR is better both because it is unique and because it's solution is, well, better!
