f. **w4** - a family name of two German brothers: Heinrich (zoologist) and Friedrich (scientist).

g. **w5** Cosby's and Clinton's 1st name.

h. To **w6** (verb) means to haunt or excessively preoccupy the mind – I am w6-ed with creating math. puzzles.

i. ** "X", "*",** and **"#" **denote three distinct letters not used in the multiplication text.

j. All partial products are 4-digit numbers.

Well, w6 = OBSESS
w5 = BILL
w4 (with the help of GOOGLE) is BOIE
This is enough to indicate to me that I = 9,
and this (along with the clever puzzle clue)
is enough for me to work out the title:
