No, since only two digits(0 and 7) had to fit 
  two letters (X  &  R) -  there were 2 possibilities only, even if
the last word were neither TAX nor TAR (it could be a letter beyond the puzzle's set: TAC, TAG, TAS,T AW, TAM  TAY ...).
