From 2p + 2/p + 4 = 4*sqrt(2p+1) I get p^4 - 4p^3 + 2p^2 + 4p + 1 = 0 which the handy-dandy factoring tool at

tells me is the same as (x^2 -2x -1)^2 = 0 giving x=1 + sqrt(2) and x=1 - sqrt(2).
