Short advice (Posted on 2015-05-08) Difficulty: 4 of 5
01 2 3 41 5
is a sound advice.

0 stands for a single letter, other digits represent each a string of 2 letters, not necessarily disjoint.
Try to recover the original phrase.

Some Thoughts original phrase? | Comment 5 of 6 |
If the digits were 01 2 3 41 2, then
"PUT UP OR SHUT UP".

As it is, it might be
"PUT UP OR SHUT IT",
"SAY GO TO STAY ON",
"OWN UP IF DOWN ON",
"OLD IS NO WILD OX" (i.e., OLD IS NOT GNU),
etc.
