Please help...!
Hi, logic problem wizards! I am having trouble with this problem someone will probably find very simple....
It takes a man 30 hours to do a particular job. It takes a woman 20 hours to do the same job. How long will it take them to do the job if they work together, assuming they work at the same rate they would have originally doing the work alone?
I don't know how to do this.... |

Re: Please help...!
Since this is probably not a problem that would be posted here:
In one hour they would complete 1/30 + 1/20 = 1/12 of the job so they would need 12 hours together. |

Re: Please help...!
It will take 32 hours. During the first hour, they argue about which way to do it. They decide to do it seperately. Assuming they work at the same rate they would have originally doing the work alone, the woman will get done in 20 hours, and the man will get done in 30 hours. Then, for the last hour, they argue about who did a better job.
Just kidding.
