What is the fewest number of pitches that a pitcher in a major league baseball game can throw and come away with a complete game?
(A real complete game, not shortened by rain or anything like that)
As a baseball afficianado (but clearly not a spelling one), there are two points I would like to make
1)Bruno Pelletier IS on to something with his strike two posting. The wording, in the context of baseball lingo, does allow his interpretation. Of course, that wasn't the intent of the problem, but that's beside the point.
2) There is an error in the solution DJ! Baseball stats include as strikes any pitches that the batter swings at, regardless of whether he makes contact or not - so all of his pitches were strikes - not none of them.
