However, you would never start a sequence with 1 and 4 and that's it because it's too ambiguous. You could do it with any number of nubmers though.
The point you just made shows that you can do any sequence in any number of rules, but as the numbers increase, so does the difficulty. This shows that we need to decide which ones are better. Usually, the polynomials are ranked pretty low because they can be used with any set of integers, where the other rules can not.
