I die half my life and live the rest.
I dance without music and breathe without breath.

What am I ?

You know what? Now that I think about it, I think you're right!

Your answer makes more sense than mine and I know I've seen this riddle before, so when I see your answer, that rings a bell more than my dorky answer of FIRE. Man...I shoulda thought about it longer. Good job to you though! I think you got it :) I think the part about dying half it's life has to do with the different seasons, when they turn colors and fall off, etc. They're most beautiful when they're dying aren't they? Sad.

Living in Wisconsin, I get to see some of the most beautiful leaves I've ever seen before! Being from California...this is a big change for me! For the better of course.
