I die half my life and live the rest.
I dance without music and breathe without breath.

What am I ?

A balloon.

You blow it up then let it go.  Half the time it is getting smaller or dying.  After you let it go it dances around from the expelled air, which is like breathing without breath.  Sure, breath could have been involved with blowing it up in the first place, but compressed air, or helium, could have been used instead.

And that's my story.

re: Penny.  I highly value Penny's posts, and I too would prefer it if things were not deleted; however I support anyone's right to delete a post if desired.  I would hope that such deletions are done not merely because of an incorrect answer, but maybe for something embarrassing, or if one had a temporary brain cloud.  Note that the practice (of certain individuals) of making ad hominem attacks, calling people stupid etc makes us all more likely to delete a post with an incorrect answer.
