At a party, the guest of honor stood up to make an anouncement. She said:

"The day before yesterday i was only fourteen. Next year, I will be 17."

How is this possible?

I'm gonna say that she was born on a leap year, and that her birthday skipped a couple years. But in actual age, she was 17.
