Some Thoughts General comment on sequence problems | Comment 1 of 9

Firstly - don't know the answer to this... well... not the answer that SilverKnight is thinking of...

The point that I'm trying to make is that such questions are completely ambiguous and have many many solutions. In this case, any sequence in the set "0000, 0001, 0002... 9998, 9999" could be correct solutions, and as there are no further requirements, they all are correct. I think this error occurs with the wording of such questions. Instead of "what are the next 4 digits in this sequence?", perhaps something along the lines of "I have a sequence of 15 digits, the first 11 of which are as follows. What are the next 4 digits in my sequence?"

Anyways I'm in a funny mood today so forgive me :)

Peace, Rawlyn.

p.s. 5024.
