There were no recording errors. His ERA (earned run average) and WHIP (walks/hits per inning pitched) were both 0.00, his team DID NOT forfeit, yet his team lost the game, why?

where it says all the way through 9 innings not a single hit, run, walk, error was recorded. Was this the complete team stats for just saying while the pitcher was in the game? I would say since he "came into" the game and did not start the game that his team was already losing when he "came into" the game
