It was logical that four asian countries (Japan, Korea, Laos and Malaysia) should be the judo finalists, but I couldn’t learn the relative standings.
A reporter told me “Laos won silver, and/or Malaysia won bronze.” Other reporter added “Japan won gold, and/or Korea won bronze.” A third one added “Laos won gold, and/or Japan won silver.”
I couldn’t make heads or tails out of this, until I remembered that in judo, two bronze medals are awarded. Which were the standings?
I just wanted to ask a quick question. If we as a group assume that
1) Loas 2) Japan 3) Malaysia 3) Korea
as the infallible answer than we are wrong. Why can't the first two statements be the correct ones?
There might be the answer from just the first two statements.
1) Japan 2) Loas 3) Korea 3) Malaysia
The correct answer might be the first two propositions only. I can't see any difference between this answer and the other variant. Whats up with that?
I'm going with
"Laos won silver and Malaysia won bronze"
+
"Japan won gold, and Korea won bronze"
