A pool rack is an equilateral triangle, filled with 15 equal-sized balls. Seen from above, we'd see a triangle, with 15 circles within.
Imagine we used smaller and smaller balls. The more the balls, more area of the triangle would be covered.
In the limit, with infinite balls, would all of the triangle be covered?
You guys are killing me. Okay, I understand what tesselate means now. What really kills me is that while searching for the meaning of tesselate, I found sites for 4th grade and 5th grade that discussed tesselate. I asked my son, who just started 9th grade (public school), if he knew what tesselate is. He never heard of it.
Really led me to other thoughts as a parent. Will post in forum.
