What is the likelihood that the coin is completely within a white square?
each square is 10 x 10 cm, so for the coin to land entirely on one square it must land with the center 8 x 8 of the square.
there are 32 white squares, and 64 square cm in each that the coin must land within, that makes 2048 square centimeters out of a total of 6400.
which boils down to 1 in 3.125.
